Construction

Conductor : Plain annealed Copper wire in accordance with BS 5308 (part 2)

Insulation : The conductors are insulated with PVC

Type : CAT-Collective Aluminium tape Screen

Cores are twisted into pairs, overall aluminium mylar tape screen and 0.5 mm2 tinned copper drained wire, PVC bedding GSWA Armour, PVC Sheath-Black or Blue.

Type : ICAT Individual & Collective Aluminium Tape Screen

Core are twisted into pairs, each pair aluminum / polyester foil screen and 0.5 mm2 tinned copper drain wire, units laid up, collective aluminum / polyester foil screen and 0.5 mm2 tinned copper drained wire, PCV bedding, GSWA Armour PVC sheath- Black or Blue.

Pair Identification :

CAT- Cables upto 50 pair are color coded in accordance with BS 5308 pt 2, Two pair cables are twisted as a quad and colored black, green, orange and brown.

ICAT : Each pair black, blue and numbered.
